About the Role
Are you passionate about helping young people achieve their potential Mai-Wel is seeking a Youth Support Mentor to join our Transition to Work (TTW) team. This role provides intensive one-on-one support to jobseekers aged 1525 helping them build skills overcome barriers and achieve their employment or education goals.
Key Responsibilities
Provide vocational guidance tailored to participants career and education aspirations.
Support young people to identify and implement their goals through a Job Plan.
Assess skills capabilities and barriers and connect participants with specialist support services.
Facilitate employability workshops individual and group coaching sessions.
Support participants with job search activities volunteering opportunities and mentoring.
Build and maintain strong relationships with employers training providers and community services.
Maintain accurate participant records and meet performance and compliance requirements.
Skills And Experiences
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Experienced in coaching mentoring or supporting others to build capacity.
Skilled in caseload management with the ability to balance participant needs and program outcomes.
Confident with administration reporting and using digital systems.
A strong communicator who can build trust motivate and inspire young people.
Adaptable organised and able to maintain high professional work standards.
Essential:
Current drivers licence.
Demonstrated experience in mentoring coaching or supporting young people.
