About the Role

Are you passionate about helping young people achieve their potential Mai-Wel is seeking a Youth Support Mentor to join our Transition to Work (TTW) team. This role provides intensive one-on-one support to jobseekers aged 1525 helping them build skills overcome barriers and achieve their employment or education goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide vocational guidance tailored to participants career and education aspirations.

  • Support young people to identify and implement their goals through a Job Plan.

  • Assess skills capabilities and barriers and connect participants with specialist support services.

  • Facilitate employability workshops individual and group coaching sessions.

  • Support participants with job search activities volunteering opportunities and mentoring.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employers training providers and community services.

  • Maintain accurate participant records and meet performance and compliance requirements.



Skills And Experiences

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in coaching mentoring or supporting others to build capacity.

  • Skilled in caseload management with the ability to balance participant needs and program outcomes.

  • Confident with administration reporting and using digital systems.

  • A strong communicator who can build trust motivate and inspire young people.

  • Adaptable organised and able to maintain high professional work standards.

Essential:

  • Current drivers licence.

  • Demonstrated experience in mentoring coaching or supporting young people.
