DescriptionDeliver comprehensive and holistic health care within the framework of the IUIH model of care to achieve improved health outcomes for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Culturally appropriate health care provision begins with rapport building and includes acute illness or injury prevention early detection chronic disease management care throughout the life span health promotion support for social-emotional well being and consideration of the social determinants of health.
Duties
- Provide skilled health assessment diagnosis and treatment services to clients Practice.
- Understanding of the principles of primary health care and the ability to work with a wide variety of professionals and the public as part of a team.
- Commit to a high level of quality management for ATSICHS through use of LogiQC quality management systems.
- Demonstrated clinic experience in particular the ability to implement and support a medical/primary health care team and effectively plan and coordinate own and teams workload to achieve results.
- Competence in the use of clinical software systems and other technology the internet and desktop applications e.g. outlook Mmex LogiQC word spreadsheets and telehealth software.
- Commit to ongoing continuous quality improvement processes with annual reviews into the efficiency of service provision.
- Operate within Clinical Policy and Procedures at all times.
- Effective communication skills written verbal and interpersonal to ensure medical documentation is of quality.
- Cultivate productive working relationships at all levels which support the nurturing of internal and external relationships facilitates cooperation trust and respect values differences and diversity and guides mentors and focuses on the development of staff.

Skills And ExperiencesCOVID-19 Requirement
- Immunisation history showing you have receivedtwo doses of a Covid -19 vaccine is encouraged.
Required
- Working days will be Tuesday and Fridays 8am-6pm
- MBBS.
- Unconditional registration with AHPRA.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a medical practitioner in a general practice / primary health care setting (including post-graduate training).
- Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes.
- Ability to support a continuous improvement model for achieving outcomes.
- Decisive listening influencing and persuasive skills.
Preferred
- Previous experience of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
- Registered GP Supervisor.
- Vocational Registration.
