Job Summary: | The Department of Anesthesiology seeks a driven and committed part-time 0.475 FTE Lab Science Research Professional to support lab management including the maintenance of the mouse colony and to assist with ongoing experiments. These experiments include but are not limited to in vivo two-photon microscopy immunohistochemistry single-cell transcriptomics and 3D electron microscopy. Key responsibilities will include preparing solutions and samples operating and maintaining lab instruments and conducting data collection and analysis. The position offers an excellent opportunity to learn cutting-edge technologies gain insights into the pathophysiology of perivascular cells and support your professional development in a collaborative research environment. Why Join Us: | The Bonney Laboratory in the Department of Anesthesiology investigates small vessel disease in the context of neurodegenerative diseases. Our research focuses on the role of perivascular cells in maintaining the integrity and function of brain vascular networks. Specifically we aim to understand the contributions of lesser-known perivascular cell types such as fibroblasts and macrophages in regulating brain vascular dynamics. We are interested in exploring how these cells regulate vascular function at both the cellular and ultrastructural levels and how alterations in these perivascular cells contribute to disease progression. |

Anticipated Pay Range: | The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as 0.475 FTE approximately 19 hours per week. Entry Level: $21980-$27958 Intermediate Level: $23919-$30425 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
