We are now looking for a Project Manager to join our Tissue Machines Services this role you will lead modernization and upgrade projects from initiation to successful delivery ensuring technical excellence customer satisfaction and strong financial performance.
We are looking for a driven and experienced project professional who thrives in a dynamic global environment. You are confident in managing complex projects building strong customer relationships and leading cross-functional teams. You take pride in delivering high-quality results and are motivated by continuous improvement and collaboration.
Your primary location will be in our Wroclaw Gorizia or Karlstad office. Other relevant Valmet locations may be considered.
Your main tasks and responsibilities include:
Lead planning coordination and execution of tissue machine improvement projects (upgrades rebuilds performance improvements).
Manage scope schedule budget risks and resources to ensure on-time and profitable delivery.
Act as the primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle.
Build strong customer relationships and ensure high satisfaction.
Collaborate with engineering supply chain manufacturing and site teams to align expectations and deliverables.
Ensure accurate cost control reporting and forecasting.
Drive project profitability while meeting quality and performance targets.
Support invoicing claim management and contract compliance.
Promote safety quality and continuous improvement in all project activities.
To succeed in this role you have:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (Mechanical Process Industrial or related field).
Proven track record in project management within heavy manufacturing machinery or industrial equipment sectors.
Experience in tissue board paper or pulp industry and its projects is highly beneficial.
Excellent communication negotiation and customer management skills.
Good problem-solving and decision-making capability.
Proficiency in English required and Polish Swedish or Finnish seen as advantage.
Ability to work effectively in a global multicultural matrix organization.
Willingness to travel within EU and internationally for project and customer site activities.
