Job Summary
Location: Geraldton
Roster: Full time 5 days per week
Shift Hours: 38 hours per week total allowing for scheduled maintenance and seasonal projects
Hourly Rate: up to $40 per hour Superannuation
The company maintains several properties and outdoor areas that require consistent upkeep to ensure safety presentation and functionality. These include staff housing operational yards and landscaped areas that contribute to the professional image of the business and the wellbeing of employees.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform regular gardening and landscaping duties across company premises (mowing pruning weeding irrigation etc.)
- Conduct routine inspections and minor maintenance of company-provided housing (e.g. cleaning gutters basic repairs reporting issues)
- Ensure outdoor areas are safe tidy and compliant with relevant standards
- Support seasonal and project-based improvements to outdoor spaces
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in gardening landscaping and general property maintenance (minimum 23 years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of plant care irrigation systems lawn maintenance and pest control
- Experience with outdoor equipment and tools (e.g. mowers trimmers pressure washers etc.)
- Basic handyman skills including minor repairs painting and general upkeep of buildings and outdoor areas
- Ability to identify and address safety hazards and maintenance issues proactively
- Understanding of workplace health and safety standards relevant to property maintenance
- Good time management and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid drivers licence (essential)
