Work Schedule: The standard 40-hour work schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; flexible work arrangements can be proposed and are subject to approval by HR and relevant supervisors. Some evening and weekend hours are required.
Work Location: On Campus.
Salary Range: $47000 - $50000.
Essential Job Duties:
- Execute and create initiatives geared towards cultivating a culture of philanthropy in students and young alumni (0 to 5.5 years since graduation).
- Develop and execute specific and personalized communication strategies for previous year donors including phone mail email text and video.
- Execute personalized follow-up communication around Anniversary of Last Gift mailing and email.
- Collaborate with campus partners to develop and enhance giving by identifying timely opportunities and tracking communication channel performance.
- In partnership with St. Olaf Fund staff and the Office of Student Activities develop presentations for student groups for student organization campaigns.
- Develop and execute strategic sustainable student philanthropy plans.
- Interact with young alumni and students through in-person written and digital communications to assist students in connecting with their passions in alignment with the colleges priorities.
- Execute and generate initiatives that create a culture of alumni pride awareness community and overall alumni engagement (time treasure talent) in students and young alumni (0 to 5.5 years since graduation).
- Execute on campus and off campus strategic young alumni event programming and coordinate with campus partners on event representation and needs.
- Attend and participate in Alumni Awards Homecoming and Family Weekend Commencement Weekend Events and Reunion Weekend as assigned.
- In partnership with St. Olaf Fund staff and Alumni and Parent Relations staff develop and execute educational presentations for students to understand alumni philanthropy and engagement.
- In partnership with the Office of Student Activities develop and execute alumni transition engagement points with current seniors.
- Execute strategic touch points for current St. Olaf students to develop awareness of the importance of alumni engagement.
- Develop relationships with current students to create a seamless transition from student to engaged alumnus. This may involve partnering with Student Government or other relevant student organizations.
- Develop and implement a 5th Year Class Reunion plan that achieves fundraising and engagement goals in partnership with Alumni and Parent Relations.
- Assist in identifying recruiting training and supervising a group of volunteers from the 5th Year Class.
- Work with alumni volunteers to plan communications programming and activities leading up to and during Reunion weekend.
- Actively participate in the Class Reunion activities during Reunion weekend.
- Establish attendance engagement and fundraising goals and monitor progress towards set goals that align with Advancement priorities.
- Other duties.
- Support respect and commit to embracing diverse backgrounds values and points of view to build a strong and inclusive community.
- Complete and meet deadlines for required training and performance management cycle.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervision Received and Exercised:
- Reports to the Associate Director of Annual Giving Leadership Giving.
- This position does not supervise anyone.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 3 years in fundraising account management marketing or a relevant field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Marketing English Public Relations or Communications.
- Experience: 3 years in fundraising account management marketing or admissions.
Prerequisites:
- Employment in this position is conditioned upon successful completion of a background check which may include: criminal background checks reference checks verification of work history verification of any required academic credentials licenses and/or certifications a motor vehicle check verification of DOT certification a credit check employment eligibility verification and/or a pre-employment physical.
