Are you a sharp commercially-minded accountant ready to partner with a dynamic wine operations team
We are seeking a proactive and analytically-driven Production Accountant to join our team and play a critical role in supporting our wine operations.
As a Production Accountant you will be the key commercial partner to our Wine Operations teams. Youll move beyond just reporting numbers proactively providing financial guidance insightful reporting and commercial support on key initiatives and opportunities.
Your focus will be on ensuring alignment between stakeholders and driving sound financial decision-making.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:
- Prepare and analyse monthly financial performance for winery recoveries
- Manage the effective processing of production orders in D365 from bulk wine to finished goods
- Analyse and ensure integrity of product cost information in D365 including variance analysis for dry goods and finished goods (cost change variance purchase price variance)
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver effective and insightful reporting and commentary that informs business decisions
- Ensure data integrity of inventory systems proactively flagging issues to stakeholders
- Assist Endeavour Group Finance with monthly reporting elements (e.g. oak amortisation accruals)
- Assist with the preparation and submission of the annual budget and forecast process
- Support the development of New Product Development (NPD) costing and the annual standard setting process
- Identify cost control measures and communicate P&L opportunities against budget/targets
- Provide commercial support for business case and capital requests
- Analyse Pinnacle inventory holdings assisting with the identification of aged and obsolete inventory
- Identify key drivers for business improvement
- Analyse long-term financial targets to ensure they are underpinned by sound strategic thinking and strong business cases.
Qualifications :
Now lets talk about you:
- Previous experience operating in a cross-matrix organisation
- Advanced proficiency with financial systems in a commercial environment (e.g. Advanced Excel PowerPoint D365 ERP)
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- A proven ability to communicate complex financial information simplistically to diverse stakeholders
- Strong presentation and storyboarding skills to effectively convey insights
- Advanced time management and prioritisation skills
- CA / CPA qualified or actively working towards qualification (desirable)
- Experience in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector (desirable)
- Adaptable and effective in complex and ambiguous environments (desirable).
