Job Description
The Department of Sociology invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of assistant professor beginning August 2026 The Department is searching for an Assistant Professor to teach various criminology courses as well as general sociology in a traditional classroom setting as well as some online delivery in Criminal Justice. Candidates should be committed to undergraduate education and show promise of excellence in teaching and scholarship. McMurry is a Methodist affiliated selective liberal arts college located in a city of 100000 residents. Required Qualifications
The applicant must have a PhD ABD by time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications
Specialization in criminology and sociology is preferred. At least 18 hours in masters level Sociology required.
