Description
ALift Mechanic (Maintenance Technician) III(LMT3) is capable of all tasks performed by an LMT2 and has 8-10 years experience or more in lift maintenance. Other items they are familiar with are the differences in maintenance requirements as mandated by each lift manufacturer and relevant manufacturer service bulletins. Additionally the technician can accurately gather the tools necessary for all Lift Maintenance tasks. They are also capable of safe rigging of all lift maintenance rigging situations including bull wheels and gearboxes; they also know what changes are necessary to their rigging solution based on varying loads and lifting situations. Furthermore they can command evacuation of all lifts in evacuation or APU modes and in no safeties mode and can safely unload passengers in most lift failure scenarios. He/she is further capable of setting task priorities producing a list of necessary parts and estimating total man-hours needed for all lift maintenance tasks. The LMT3 knows how to safely handle voltages from 480V AC to 1.2V DC and can problem-solve electrical problems associated with these voltages safely and without risk. Lastly the LMT3 will always take well-organized accurate notes and produces accurate informative documentation; they also have an advanced understanding of computers Microsoft Office programs and PLC interfacing
