The Field Service Technician is a front-line representative of TOMRA to our customers so outstanding customer service is essential. This position will be required to interface with our customers (retails and shopping centres) as well as members of the public daily at sites throughout Singapore.
The first stage of this position is to ensure trial RVMs are installed and maintained showcasing the quality of our processes products and service. Once a network of equipment is fully rolled out a Service Technician is field based primarily working at customer sites throughout Singapore and occasionally in our office.
Whilst you will visit the TOMRA office and/or warehouse occasionally for administration and to collect spare parts you will mainly be on the road extensively within your respective region.
- Installation set up service repair modify upgrade commission recondition calibrate cleaning and test of our systems.
- Reporting on service assignments and faults (online and/or paper)
- Training customers and new colleagues
- Driving for long periods as required for the above; attending to some occasional call-outs outside your area; attending to call-outs outside business hours as and when required.
- Providing excellent customer service to our customers retail outlets and occasionally to members of the public if required.
- Monitor RVMs using TOMRA back-office systems
- Work closely with the service team
- Demonstrate responsibility for health and safety by safeguarding own wellbeing avoiding risks to others reporting hazards promptly and complying with TOMRA SAFE Standards.
- Any other tasks in support of the business as required
- Manage and maintain tools test equipment technical documentation and assigned van kits/spares to ensure completeness and compliance with inventory requirements.
- Analyse areas of potential improvement of products and report to local service team.
- Stay informed and up to date with TOMRAs RVMs and products.
Qualifications :
- Technical/vocational qualifications (e.g. NITEC Higher NITEC Diploma) preferred; candidates with strong relevant experience may also be considered. Minimum 23 years of field service or maintenance experience with electro-mechanical systems.
- Proven ability to independently install troubleshoot repair and calibrate equipment.
- Proficient in interpreting technical manuals engineering drawings and schematics.
- Competent in basic IT applications with familiarity in mobile applications and remote monitoring systems.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation with strong communication skills.
- Effective team player with the ability to work independently and adhere to standard operating procedures.
- Must be able to manage tools spare parts and occasional equipment handling and/or Must be able to stand for long hours
- Willingness to travel across Singapore and attend to after-hours service callouts as required.
- Awareness of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) standards; compliance with WSQ safety guidelines.
- Eligibility to work legally in Singapore.
- Hold a valid driving licence for Singapore
