Overview:Legacy at Salina under the management ofCampbell Street Senior Living is seeking compassionate and dedicatedCertified Nursing Assistants (CNA)to join our team. As a premier senior living community we provide skilled nursing and long-term care services. Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient careunder the supervision of registered nurses and physicians including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing dressing grooming and feeding.
• Monitor and report changesin residents physical and mental conditions to the nursing staff to ensure that appropriate care is provided.
• Assist with mobility including helping residents move in and out of beds chairs and wheelchairs.
• Take and record vital signs such as temperature pulse respiration and blood pressure.
• Assist with patient transfers repositioning residents in their beds and ensuring they are comfortable.
• Maintain a clean and safe environmentfor residents by following infection control protocols and sanitizing equipment.
• Document care providedand report any changes or concerns regarding the health and safety of residents.
• Assist residents with toileting incontinence care and changing bed linens as needed.
• Help with feedingresidents who need assistance with meals ensuring they are comfortable during meal times.
• Provide companionshipto residents and offer emotional support ensuring their dignity and respect are maintained.
• Respond to residents call lightsand provide timely assistance based on their needs.
• Assist with patient admissions and discharges ensuring a smooth transition for residents.
• Participate in team meetingsand collaborate with the nursing staff to ensure the best care for residents.
• Support residents in social and recreational activitiesas needed to improve their quality of life.
• Follow facility policies and procedures ensuring compliance with all regulations and safety standards.

Education Requirements & Qualifications (Kansas):

• Active CNA certificationin the state of Kansas.
• High school diploma or equivalentrequired.
• Completion of an accredited CNA program.
• Current CPR and First Aid certificationrequired or must be obtained within a specific time frame after hiring.
• Previous experience in long-term care or senior living environmentsis preferred but not required.
• Basic understanding of medical terminologyand resident care practices.
• Ability to follow care plansand provide individualized support to residents.
• Strong communication skillsto effectively interact with residents families and staff.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds including assisting with the transfer or repositioning of residents.
• Must be able to stand walk and bendfor extended periods of time during shifts.
• Ability to assist with resident mobility including moving or repositioning residents in beds wheelchairs or chairs.
• Occasional bending kneeling and stoopingwhile providing care to residents.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environmentand respond to various tasks and resident needs.
• Ability to work some evenings weekends or holidaysbased on facility needs.
