The Role:

As theStaff Product Manager for PHEV Driving Experience you will define and lead the vision for how customers engage with our plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. Your mission is to make the PHEV ownership journey seamless intuitive and rewarding from first interaction through long-term use. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between traditional internal combustion vehicles and full electrification ensuring that PHEV customers feel empowered informed and delighted at every step. A key pillar of this position will be crafting distinctive interfaces and features that showcase the unique capabilities of PHEV propulsion and highlight the technological advancements that set these vehicles apart.

Success in this role requires a deep understanding of human-machine interaction and a passion for elevating the drivers experience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering design UX research and regulatory to deliver experiences that are not only functional and compliant but also emotionally resonant.

What Youll do:

  • Own the end-to-end PHEV experience strategy and roadmap from initial customer onboarding to daily use including displays modes and integration of the systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionallywith Legal Engineering Design and Marketing to deliver intuitive compliant and differentiated experiences.
  • Leverage data and researchto understand customer pain points and opportunities using insights to drive feature development and continuous improvement.
  • Champion a user-centric approachto PHEV displays energy management and integration ensuring customers feel in control and confident in their vehicles capabilities.
  • Track and report key experience metrics including customer satisfaction feature engagement and energy efficiency outcomes.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Software) Computer Science Information Technology Mathematics or a related technical discipline
  • 5 years of experience working on technology-powered products
  • 3 years of experience managing complex automotive software and hardware products
  • Demonstrated ability to balance trade-offs between consumer needs legal or regulatory requirements and business objectives
  • Proven experience solving complex problems with multiple constraints using sound judgment to assess risks and present well-structured data-informed written arguments
  • Skilled in identifying key data and metrics necessary for decision-making and understanding the implications of their movement
  • Strong communication and storytelling abilities with a talent for articulating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Skills)

  • M.S. in Engineering or Business
  • 3 years of experience in Product Management
  • 3 years of experience with Embedded Software Controls or Vehicle Integration
  • Deep knowledge of product development lifecycle and program execution deliverables
  • Industry expertise in driver controls and interface technologies
  • Past experience with ICE PHEV and EV propulsion systems
