Join the Royal Society of Chemistry as we seek a dynamic Programme Manager to transform digital learning in the chemical sciences.

As Programme Manager Digital Learning Experience you will take a pivotal role in combining strategic vision with operational excellence offering the chance to shape the future of chemical science education. Youll own our digital learning operating model taking innovative educational concepts from initial development through to successful commercial ventures while ensuring maximum value for our diverse global community.

This is a 2-year fixed term contract.

In this role you will be responsible for:

Strategic Leadership

  • Own and continuously improve the digital learning operating model with tactical product delivery oversight

  • Aligning learning developments with RSC strategic aims and communicate new offerings organisation-wide

  • Champion research and customer-focused culture to maximise value for chemical science professionals

Business Development

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to develop new products within defined frameworks

  • Maintaining expertise across professional development platforms particularly digital learning systems

Service Excellence

  • Optimising customer experience to enhance RSCs professional reputation

  • Integrate education services coherently within the wider RSC portfolio

Relationship Management

  • Building collaborative internal relationships and communicate initiatives across the organisation

  • Networking externally with professional bodies digital learning leaders and RSC community members. Representing RSC at conferences and industry events sharing insights and building partnerships.

What we are looking for:

Essential

  • A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience although not essential a chemistry or scientific background would be preferred.

  • Experience of developing and managing digital learning experiences from a broad organisation with multiple stakeholder interactions.

  • An understanding of digital learning platforms

  • Strong project and time management skills

  • Demonstrate initiative/creativity and ability to develop new ideas and approaches and modify pre-existing operating models to continuously improve processes and to work collaboratively in a matrix environment.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrable ability to work both as part of multifunctional teams and independently.

  • Good IT skills and abilities.

Desirable

  • An understanding of the principles of instructional design.

  • Understanding of principles of Product Management.

  • Interest or awareness of chemistrys role in advancing science and technology and of the factors currently influencing those responsible for the professional development of others through a digital learning environment.

At the RSC we embrace flexibility and offer hybrid working which means our teams come together when they need to collaborate. Although this role is contractually based at our Cambridge office you will be able to work from home within the UK with the expectation that you will attend the office once a week.
