Working hours for this shift is Thursday to Saturday and every other Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Working in a climate-controlled environment with a great team. We offer a 15% shift differential for working 3rd.

Warehouse Team Lead Shipping & Receiving

Location: Florence Kentucky
Job Type: Full Time

Position Summary

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Shipping & Receiving Lead to oversee a team of shipping and receiving clerks. This role is responsible for coordinating manual and automated transactions related to the movement and transfer of materials while ensuring accuracy efficiency and compliance with company procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills hands-on warehouse experience and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of warehouse clerks in daily shipping and receiving operations.
  • Provide station support and hands-on training to team members.
  • Perform tasks related to receiving unpacking material handling and inventory management.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of inventory and material movements.
  • Train and certify clerks in proper execution of processes and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with the area supervisor to ensure compliance with operational standards.
  • Maintain a safe organized and efficient work environment.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in warehouse operations with leadership or training responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of shipping receiving and inventory control processes.
  • Ability to train and mentor team members effectively.
  • Proficient in using Windows-based systems and warehouse software (SAP experience preferred).
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions reports and visual aids.
  • Basic math skills including addition subtraction multiplication division and percentages.
  • Ability to work in standardized situations with minimal variation.

Working Conditions

  • Regular business hours; occasional overtime may be required.
  • Primary work location is on the manufacturing or warehouse floor.
  • Must be able to lift and move heavy items safely.
