Job Summary

Are you a Social Worker looking for a change and an opportunity to make a real difference for vulnerable communities This could be the role for you.

Were seeking a Sexual/Family Harm Support Practitioner / Social Worker to join our Wāhi Mārie daytime Sexual Assault and Non-Fatal Strangulation Support Service. Expanded to a daytime service in 2023 we support patients who have experienced recent or historic incidents of sexual assault or non-fatal strangulation through referrals from our trusted community partners. Our Support Practitioner/Social Worker plays a vital role in our integrated care team.

Were looking for someone who:

Holds a recognised relevant healthcare qualification with current registration

Has a current and valid Annual Practising Certificate

Brings a minimum of 5 years experience as a healthcare practitioner or at least 2 years working in the sexual violence sector

Is familiar with relevant legislation including the Mental Health Act Oranga Tamariki Act 1989 Privacy Act Health and Disability Act

and ACC Sensitive Claims
