DescriptionAbout the Role: Working within the Business Information Services (BIS) Unit the Applications Developer contributes to the development and support of the organisations enterprise data solutions. This includes application development and support system integration and continuous improvement of both on premises and cloud-based systems with a focus on utilising a development environment and tools.
Based in either our Milawa or Richmond (Melbourne) office this role will be responsible for such duties as:
- Under the guidance of the Manager Applications and Development continue to develop and manage the organisations enterprise data capability.
- Proactively identify opportunities for integration and automation of systems and processes across the business including with third party data sources.
- Participate in business process review sessions across the business with a wide range of stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities to applications and data management.
- Support the continued development of the organisations data reporting capabilities.
- Support the organisations Business Intelligence needs through the development and support of contemporary dashboard and visualisation technologies.
- Support and develop the organisations identity management solutions for the secure management of digital access and service provisioning.
- Ability to provide application support including to off the shelf applications and operate under DevOps principles
Skills And ExperiencesRole Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability in software development using C# including Blazor Core and EF Core.
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience in modern web front end frameworks.
- Experience with GIT source control.
- Experience in working under a DevOps model.
- Experience in working under Agile software development practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current development patterns and trends.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and develop positive and collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Ability to work calmly and smartly under pressure whilst managing multiple tasks and projects at once.
- Strong influencing and negotiation capability
- Degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent qualification and experience
- Current Drivers Licence
