The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is currently seeking a Defense Procurement Financial Analyst (PFA) Manager to join the team in Hazelwood MO or Mesa AZ.
As a part of the Defense PFA team you would support the development of the negotiation positions for the procurement of goods and services by conducting cost/price analysis of supplier proposals. PFAs support U.S. Government Foreign Military Sale and Direct Commercial Sale type contracts across multiple programs and platforms. Quantitative and statistical methods are used to correlate compile and analyze supplier cost and non-cost data.
This position is responsible for leading a team of professionals in performing supplier audits. PFA supplier auditors partner closely with PFA cost analysts and supplier management to support the development of a negotiation position for supplier rates and factors approval of suppliers accounting and billing systems conduct final price determinations and auditing supplier termination proposals.
The PFA Supplier Audit team you manage will be:
Evaluating supplier financial books of record in order to identify how suppliers have generated their rates and factors
Conducting rate analyses using statistical tools supplier financials market trend data and parametric models
Conducting financial operational proposal and procedural audits of supplier data and systems
Applying quantitative analysis in the development of supplier pricing and analytical models to determine a fair and reasonable rate(s) to be issued to the PFA cost analyst
Preparing strategies and leads price negotiations with supplier
Performing risk and opportunity analysis
Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and regulatory agency requirements such as Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Publishing audit findings
Position Responsibilities:
Manage a team of supplier audit analysis professionals
Develop and motivate employees
Develop and maintain relationships/partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports
Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes for complex supplier audit analyses
Provide oversight and direct support of supplier and customer negotiations
Lead process improvements
Act as a Primary Management Focal with various Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) offices related to assist audits and other audit related situations
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and regulatory agency requirements
BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelors degree or higher
Experience in management and/or significant informal leadership
Ability to travel if needed
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelors degree or higher in Accounting or Finance with emphasis in Accounting
5 years of experience performing financial reporting accounting (ex: account variance analysis Cost Accounting. reconciliation and journal entries etc.)
Experience with audit fact-finding and negotiation process
Experience leading negotiations
Experience working in large complex dynamic programs
Experience with and/or exposure to supplier related data
