Year 1 Teacher Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons for Year 1 pupils following the national curriculum and the schools Catholic ethos.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners and ensure progress for every child.
Foster a nurturing positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports early learning and development.
Use formative and summative assessment to monitor progress and inform teaching.
Work closely with colleagues and the leadership team to develop effective learning strategies.
Communicate regularly and positively with parents and carers regarding pupils progress wellbeing and faith formation.
Contribute to the wider life of the school including participation in liturgical events and community activities.

Year 1 Teacher Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 ideally Year 1.
A commitment to supporting the Catholic ethos and values of the school.
Strong understanding of early years and Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment.
Excellent classroom management communication and organisational skills.
Enthusiastic reflective and passionate about fostering a love of learning in young children.
Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
