Tasks

The Role

We are seeking a System Administrator with cybersecurity experience to ensure the reliability security and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. This hybrid role combines classic systems administration with responsibility for implementing and monitoring cybersecurity practices safeguarding sensitive data and supporting compliance requirements in a fast-paced innovation-driven environment.

You will manage day-to-day IT operations (servers networks cloud systems) while also strengthening our security posture through audits monitoring and best-practice implementation.

Key responsibilities

Systems Administration

Install configure and maintain servers workstations and cloud environments (Windows Linux AWS Azure).
Manage virtualization platforms (VMware Hyper-V) and monitor system performance.
Maintain and optimize network connectivity VPN access and firewall configurations.
Oversee backup and disaster recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
Provide 2nd-level technical support troubleshooting hardware software and network issues.
Maintain accurate documentation of systems procedures and configurations.

Cybersecurity

Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
Conduct regular security audits vulnerability assessments and patch management.
Monitor and manage security tools such as firewalls antivirus IDS/IPS and SIEM solutions.
Support compliance with industry regulations (e.g. GDPR ISO 27001 HIPAA GxP).
Develop and test incident response and recovery plans.
Provide user training and awareness sessions on cybersecurity best practices.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field (or equivalent work experience).
4 years of experience in system administration with exposure to cybersecurity.
Strong knowledge of Windows Linux and cloud-based environments (AWS Azure).
Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP DNS DHCP VPN) and firewall management.
Hands-on experience with security monitoring tools (SIEM IDS/IPS antivirus/endpoint protection).
Familiarity with compliance frameworks (GDPR HIPAA ISO 27001 GxP).
Scripting and automation skills (e.g. PowerShell Bash Python).
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills in English both written and verbal.
Security certifications (e.g. CompTIA Security CISSP CISM) are a plus.
