Job Summary

Job Description:

Client is seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Java Developer with strong Python expertise and proven experience delivering applications in Banking or Capital Markets environments. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of enterprise-scale financial systems strong back-end and front-end development skills and the ability to design build and optimize high-performance solutions for critical business functions.

Responsibilities

Design develop and maintain robust Java-based back-end services and React front-end applications.
Collaborate with business analysts product owners and architects to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Implement and consume RESTful APIs and microservices ensuring high availability and scalability.
Build user interfaces that are responsive intuitive and secure for front-office and middle-office banking applications.
Optimize application performance and ensure adherence to security and regulatory standards in financial services.
Participate in code reviews enforce development best practices and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Support deployment pipelines and integrate solutions within CI/CD environments.
Troubleshoot debug and resolve issues across the full technology stack.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field (or equivalent work experience).
12 years of Java development experience with strong proficiency in Java 8 / Spring / Spring Boot.
Strong experience with Python Redux JavaScript/TypeScript HTML5 CSS3.
Solid experience building REST APIs and integrating with enterprise data platforms.
Hands-on experience with SQL (Oracle PostgreSQL or SQL Server) and ORM frameworks (Hibernate/JPA).
Knowledge of banking systems capital markets or financial product workflows.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitHub Actions Azure DevOps) and cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP).
Strong communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work effectively in fast-paced regulated environments.

Nice to Have

Experience with messaging systems (Kafka MQ) or event-driven architectures.
Knowledge of microservices orchestration (Docker Kubernetes).
Exposure to risk trading or settlement systems in capital markets.
Familiarity with security best practices (OAuth2 SAML encryption standards).
