Job Summary

JD:

Key Responsibilities
Participate in the application discovery process to gather functional technical and operational insights.
Review and validate tool-generated reports for completeness and accuracy.
Assess application readiness for migration considering AWS architecture principles security compliance and performance requirements.
Define the target state architecture for applications being migrated to AWS.
Analyze the landscape from AWS and application viewpoints identifying optimal migration strategies (rehost replatform refactor etc.).
Ensure proposed architectures are cost-efficient scalable and aligned with the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
Provide migration recommendations including sequencing tooling approach.
Work closely with Technical Owner and Designers to ensure alignment between migration strategy and execution.
Engage with application owners platform cyber and networking teams for arriving the approaches.
Skills & Experience
10 years of experience in solution architecture with significant involvement in cloud migration roles.
Proven experience in migrating applications to AWS (experience with on-premises VMware to AWS migration projects preferred).
Strong knowledge of AWS services networking security and cost optimization.
Experience with application assessment methodologies and migration strategy development.
Familiarity with migration tooling and automation frameworks.
Good communication skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Certifications
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional.
VMware certifications (optional).
