Job Title:Human Resource Assistant
Location: Eastern Uganda

Duties:
Support end-to-end HR operations including recruitment onboarding employee records management and contract administration ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and Uganda labour laws.
Monitor and maintain employee attendance leave and payroll support data ensuring timely updates and accurate reporting to management.
Assist in coordinating training performance appraisals and staff development initiatives contributing to workforce productivity and skill growth.
Handle employee relations matters by providing guidance on HR policies addressing grievances and escalating complex issues to the HR Manager while maintaining confidentiality.
Prepare and maintain HR documentation and compliance records including contracts disciplinary actions and statutory requirements ensuring readiness for internal and external audits.
Requirements
Education
Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management Business Administration or a related field.
HR professional membership (HRMAU CIPD or equivalent) is an advantage.
Experience
Over 5 years of progressive HR experience in structured organizations preferably in industrial sectors such as mining transport logistics or construction.
Skills &Competencies
Excellent at planning and executing HR processes end-to-end.
Solid knowledge of Uganda labour laws HR policies and compliance requirements.
Strong administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook); familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
