Job Summary

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare Recruitment for both domestic and overseas candidates providing staffing solutions to Hospitals Nursing Homes Home Care and Community Care settings across Ireland.

We are currently hiring suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Staff Nurse High Dependency Unit (HDU) for a leading Hospital in Tralee Ireland.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the High Dependency Unit in accordance with hospital policies and NMBI standards.

  • Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans.

  • Monitor and manage patients requiring close observation advanced monitoring and complex treatments.

  • Administer prescribed medications and intravenous infusions safely and accurately.

  • Operate and maintain specialized medical equipment used in the HDU (e.g. cardiac monitors ventilators infusion pumps).

  • Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation and records.

  • Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies and changes in patient conditions.

  • Support junior staff and students through supervision guidance and teaching.

  • Participate in continuous professional development audits and quality improvement initiatives.



  • Requirements

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).

  • Minimum of 12 months post-registration nursing experience in an acute care setting.

  • HDU qualification is desirable and/or willingness to complete a relevant course.

  • Critical Care experience is desirable.

  • Valid ACLS certification or willingness to obtain same.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient IT skills and ability to use electronic patient record systems.
