We are hiring a Pharmaceutical Technician Basic Grade Aseptics into a Hospital in Dublin Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense aseptic and cytotoxic medications in accordance with GMP health and safety standards and hospital procedures.
- Perform and document routine checks operator/process validations and environmental monitoring to ensure sterile conditions are maintained.
- Manage the purchase storage and supply of aseptic medicines; maintain adequate stock levels ensure proper rotation and report shortages promptly.
- Maintain accurate records logs worksheets and labels for all aseptic processes ensuring compliance with departmental policies.
- Supervise and guide junior and rotational technicians; ensure daily plans are followed and standards of work are maintained.
- Participate in internal audits JCI Accreditation processes and quality management programmes to ensure continuous improvement.
- Support pharmacy operations including receipt storage and supply of medications ensuring cold chain maintenance and accurate documentation.
- Participate in ongoing education; assist in training of pharmacy staff students and hospital personnel involved in aseptic and dispensary services.
- Use hospital clinical information systems for data entry monitoring drug usage and preparing worksheet and label documentation.
- Adhere to all departmental and hospital health and safety protocols report non-compliance and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Possess a Pharmaceutical Technician diploma.
- Aseptic compounding experience.
- Working or technical knowledge of new technologies including automation.
- Participate in the pharmaceutical service as part of a punctual dedicated and professional team.
- Create promote and maintain open communications and healthy working relationships.
- Monitor and maintain the health safety and security of self and others.
- Contribute to the improvement of services.
- Experience in training staff and students.
