This role:
We are looking for a Financial Accountant to come and join our growing Finance team.
This will be someone who challenges what we do daily and thrives working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines helping us build for the future.
An idea of what youll be doing:
Ensure compliance with internal financial controls policies and procedures.
Ownership of the monthly control process. Manage accruals prepayments fixed asset register and balance sheet reconciliations.
Assist with VAT returns corporation tax packs and other regulatory filings.
Assistance in the preparation of monthly management accounts ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Assist in the preparation of budgets forecasts and variance analysis particularly cashflow forecasts
Support year-end audit processes and liaise with external auditors to include support the preparation of statutory accounts in compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS. Group (Not necessary but nice to have)
Contribute to process improvements within the finance function to drive efficiency.
Work closely with the Finance Manager to provide financial insight and recommendations.
Management of team of 3 undertaking team meetings and appraisals
Ad-hoc finance project work and tasks

Youll have a proven track record of:
Strong technical accounting knowledge with ability to apply to practical scenarios.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel essential) and experience with accounting software.
Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Proactive adaptable and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Commercial awareness and an understanding of the wider business environment.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Youll be a successful Financial Accountant at Sinewave if youre
Recently qualified accountant (ACCA CIMA ACA or equivalent) looking to build on early post-qualification experience in a growing and supportive environment
Experience in preparing financial and management accounts (industry or practice background).
Knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
Exposure to audit processes (desirable).
Experience in utilities infrastructure or construction industry would be advantageous.
Comply with all company policies procedures and business ethics codes including the anti-bribery policy while adhering to the Environmental and Quality Management System in alignment with ISO standards and the requirements of the NERS accreditation.

Join us Required Skills: When you join you will go through our top-notch induction and onboarding process and have opportunities to develop further through our in house training academy. Youll have a proven track record of: Assessing potentially hazardous and dangerous situations taking appropriate action to ensure the safety of personnel other site operatives and the public. Undertaking site specific risk assessments and creating RAMS and competent in issuing and cancelling safety documents. Ensuring personnel and your wider team understand duties under safety documents. Carrying out network operations under instruction from the Network Control Engineer. Understanding the local network anomalies and ensuring correct phase rotation. Youll already have experience & qualifications in: Currently hold (or have held) authorisations up to 33kV including permit to work (accepting 11KV with extensive experience). CSCS (affiliated). The use of Productivity and Collaboration Software such as Microsoft Office Microsoft Teams SharePoint etc. across multiple platforms such as smart phones tablets laptops etc. Full UK driving license (Maximum of 3 points).
