The role involves managing a caseload of families under Child in Need (CIN) Child Protection Plan (CPP) Public Law Outline (PLO) Proceedings and Supervision Orders (SO). Your expertise will be crucial in supporting families and ensuring the welfare of children.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of families under CIN CPP PLO Proceedings and SO.
- Conduct regular home visits to assess family needs and progress.
- Attend core group meetings to collaborate with other professionals.
- Prepare detailed court reports to support legal proceedings.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing a caseload of families in similar contexts.
- Strong ability to conduct home visits and engage with families effectively.
- Experience in attending core group meetings and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Competence in preparing comprehensive court reports.
Required Skills:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work or a related field Relevant social work experience Registration with the appropriate regulatory body Knowledge of relevant legislation and procedures Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Understanding of child protection issues and risk assessment Willingness to challenge discrimination and inequality Ability to work within established protocols and negotiate expectations/roles in
