Job Summary
Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing electrical contractor specializing in commercial industrial and institutional projects. With decades of experience delivering quality workmanship and dependable service the company is seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join their pre construction and estimating team.
Position Summary
The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical construction projects. This role requires strong analytical skills attention to detail and a deep understanding of electrical systems drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate is a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
Requirements
Review project plans specifications and bid documents to prepare detailed electrical estimates.
Perform material take-offs labor estimates and subcontractor/vendor pricing analysis.
Collaborate with project managers engineers and clients to clarify scope and resolve discrepancies.
Develop and maintain cost databases historical records and estimating tools.
Identify value engineering opportunities to enhance project competitiveness.
Participate in bid reviews proposal presentations and post-bid clarifications.
Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate and competitive pricing.
Support business development efforts with conceptual and budgetary estimates.
Ensure all estimates align with company standards safety practices and client requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating for commercial or industrial projects.
Strong knowledge of NEC codes construction practices and electrical systems.
Proficiency in estimating software (such as Accubid McCormick ConEst or Trimble) and Microsoft Excel.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints drawings and technical documents.
Strong analytical organizational and communication skills.
Proven ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple bids simultaneously.
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Construction Management or equivalent experience preferred.

Salary Range: $100000 $140000 (depending on experience)
