Database AdministratorArchitect

Were seeking a highly experienced Database Administrator with strong expertise in SQL PL/SQL database design and performance tuning. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who brings both hands-on technical depth and strategic architectural insight to enterprise-scale data environments.

Database Development & Optimization

• Write review and optimize advanced SQL and PL/SQL code including functions procedures and packages.
  
• Partner with application developers to design efficient data access and integration solutions.
  
• Perform query tuning and scalability analysis to ensure optimal performance.
  

Architecture & Design

• Collaborate with technical architects to design robust database solutions supporting enterprise systems.
  
• Develop and enforce database standards policies and best practices for procedures functions and packages.
  
• Plan and maintain hosting architecture aligned with organizational strategy and business needs.
  

Administration & Maintenance

• Install configure and maintain SQL Server environments (development test and production).
  
• Oversee backups restores recovery tests and capacity planning to ensure high availability and data integrity.
  
• Monitor performance using tools such as SSMS SQL Server Agent SolarWinds Redgate and Idera.
  
• Manage indexes partitions and schema parameters; apply patches and version upgrades as needed.
  

Monitoring & Support

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks alerts and system issues.
  
• Work closely with IT and DevOps teams to maintain uptime and server stability.
  
• Oversee creation and validation of physical components such as tables indexes triggers and constraints.
  

Data Integrity Security & Governance

• Manage roles permissions and access controls to enforce compliance and data security standards.
  
• Support disaster recovery backup and high availability strategies.
  
• Document and maintain database models data dictionaries and schema standards.
  
• Collaborate with analytics and data warehouse teams on transformation and ETL processes.
  

Requirements

• 12 years of database administration and development experience.
  
• 10 years SQL / T-SQL development experience.
  
• 6 years experience with PowerShell Azure DevOps and Scrum practices.
  
• Proven expertise in query optimization performance tuning and database security.
  
• Solid understanding of backup strategies recovery models and HA/DR configurations.
  
• Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) SQL Server Agent and tools like SolarWinds Redgate or Idera.
  
• Familiarity with ETL Azure SQL or cloud database solutions preferred.
  
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across development and infrastructure teams.
