Job Summary

AECOMs Water Business Line is actively seeking a Civil Engineer III for employment in the Fort Myers Florida office. The successful candidate will work with Project Managers and other technical disciplines on all project phases to deliver a variety of water wastewater stormwater and resiliency projects.  AECOM is proud to provide our employees with a variety of exciting challenging projects locally and worldwide.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to

  • Planning design permitting and construction phase services and will include activities focused on design of municipal water/wastewater stormwater and resiliency projects.

  • Technical resources may serve as technical advisor for the team.

  • Communicates project tasks between offices high level of coordination and communication skills required.

  • Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staffs specific area of expertise.

  • Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others.

  • Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.

  • Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.

  • Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.

  • Prepares technical specification sections.

  • Provides input for the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

  • Overseeing construction phase engineering services.

  • Coordination with clients sub-consultants regulatory agencies and members of the public will be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives.

 

 


Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in civil engineering environmental engineering or related field and 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in civil or environmental engineering.

  • Experience as Professional Engineer in municipal water/wastewater and stormwater infrastructure engineering design projects.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Florida.

  • Experience mentoring or supervising other engineering professionals.

  • Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with diverse audience.

  • Positive attitude good aptitude and strong initiative will integrate well with our existing group of outstanding professionals.

  • Experience in construction phase services.

  • Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability to successfully work with diverse teams.

  • Demonstrated proven track record of leading technical engineering and successfully designing water wastewater and stormwater projects.
