Job Summary

The Shop Technician needs to interpret and work from electrical drawings schematics and wiring diagrams. This includes the physical layout mounting and assembly of panel components and enclosures. The Shop Technician is responsible for maintaining an organized and orderly work area. Additional duties may include assisting with building repairs or warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical wiring soldering and crimping of electrical connections per electrical engineering drawings; schematics wiring diagrams or wire lists.
Perform the physical layout mounting and assembly of panel components and enclosures.
Assist with testing of panels to ensure Ramcos quality standards.
Perform kitting of parts; combine multiple parts into one part as a kit for resale.
Control project materials from time of issuance to completion of the project.
Fabricate parts using tools such as: drill-press bandsaw chop-saw & hydraulic punch etc.
Able and willing to learn and perform additional tasks that may be assigned.
Assist with maintenance/repair of Ramco facility and equipment.
Assist with warehouse operations when needed.

Requirements

In-depth understanding of electrical theory components and systems including advanced circuitry.
Ability to read and interpret complex electrical diagrams and blueprints accurately.
Proficiency in diagnosing and solving intricate electrical issues including troubleshooting systems and components.
Experience with specialized assembly processes including the use of advanced tools and equipment.
Expertise in quality control processes testing methods and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Familiarity with programming for PLCs and other control systems as well as configuring devices for specific applications.
Ability to work alongside sales to provide customer support and troubleshooting post sale.
Ability to solder complex circuit boards and connections.
Excellent understanding of UL certification and ability to apply theory to complex industrial panel builds. Pass MTR exam and maintain certification during employment. Meet with UL inspectors on a quarterly basis to ensure continued company compliance.
Advanced operation of all shop machinery including the engravers. Ability to quote engraving projects.
Must possess a valid state motor vehicle operators license and maintain an approved motor vehicle record (MVR).
