AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Aviation Civil Engineering team in West Palm Beach Florida.
This position is expected to begin as soon as possible.
In this role you will be instrumental in shaping the future of airport infrastructure through the planning design and delivery of complex airfield and landside improvement projects. Youll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of aviation professionals who are passionate about creating innovative resilient and sustainable solutions for airports of all sizesincluding major commercial hubs and military installations.
You will play a vital role in the development of airfield and landside planning and design for airport improvement projects. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for developing civil airfield design and construction improvements working under experienced design staff.
- Preparation of the following: design plans construction estimates technical specifications engineers reports meeting agendas/minutes and other various tasks related to supporting our clients needs.
- Regular contact with clients design team members contractors and sub-consultants for ongoing planning design and construction projects.
- Participation in project meetings with internal team and clients.
- Interaction with all project stakeholders (including federal and state agencies).
- Development and/or review of project documents and general support of project team/tasks.
- Support project managers with design documentation and construction-related services.
- Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
- Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience.
- Due to the nature of the work U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must have a valid U.S drivers license and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOMs Motor Vehicle Records review.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior related intern and/or professional experience.
- Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D Design.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel and PowerPoint.
