Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelors Degree in Human Biology
- Masters in Translational Research
- Fluency in Catalan Spanish English (business level)
- Accreditation to handle experimental animals
Desired:
- Specific training in Transplant Immunology
- Courses in statistics and data analysis
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- At least 5 years of experience working in the field of Transplant Immunology research
- Previous experience in immunofluorescence basic molecular biology techniques (PCR Western Blot ELISA etc.) and cell cultures
- Previous experience in immune monitoring assays such as T-cell and B-cell ELISPOT assay
- Expertise in flow cytometry
- Lab management skills (analytical organisational and time management skills)
- Experience in project coordination within research groups
- Contribution to scientific publications and conference abstracts
Desired:
- Computer skills for creating databases
- Previous knowledge in bioinformatics and specific analysis programs (OMIQ SPSS Prism etc.)
- Good skills in scientific dissemination

Main responsibilities and duties:
- Perform and analyze immune monitoring assays (ELISPOT).
- Perform and analyze flow cytometry experiments including multicolor panels for immune profiling.
- Perform and analyze immunofluorescence assays.
- Isolation and culture of primary cells (PBMCs splenocytes etc.).
- Coordinate with clinicians and research staff for collection and handling of clinical samples.
- Participate in writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and updating laboratory protocols.
- Contribute to data analysis and interpretation of results for internal reports grant applications and scientific publications.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations for group meetings conferences and dissemination activities.
- Ensure proper maintenance of laboratory equipment stock of reagents and consumables ensuring proper functionality and supply.
- Generate and manage sample databases.
Labour conditions:
- Full-time position: 40h/week
- Starting date: immediate
- Gross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale.
- Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
