Job Summary:

This position is for a Cath Lab Technician responsible for assisting in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. The role involves equipment setup patient monitoring and maintaining a sterile environment. The technician will work within a Level I trauma center and participate in on-call duties.

Location:Springfield Illinois United States

Responsibilities:

- Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Set up and operate equipment for procedures.
- Monitor patients during procedures.
- Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias.
- Maintain sterile technique and infection control protocols.
- Perform scrub procedures.
- Assist with cardiac implant closure device cardiac stent placement diagnostic catheterizations IABP placement/removal percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) rotablader athrectomy left and right heart catheterizations.
- Collect and document patient data in Cerner.

Required Skills & Certifications:

- ARRT RCIS ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab.
- Experience with Cardiac Implant Closure Device Cardiac Stent Placement Diagnostic Catheterizations Adult IABP Placement/Removal Interpretation of dysrhythmias Left heart catheterization Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI) Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) Right heart catheterization Rotablader athrectomy Scrub Procedures.
- Experience with Equipment setup Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias.
- Knowledge of Isolation Precautions Sterile Technique.
- Competency with Middle and Older Adult patients.
- Cerner experience required.

Special Considerations:

- On-call duties are required rotating with staff and agency personnel.
- Call frequency will be discussed with the manager.
- Limited RTO ideally no more than 5 days.
- Must have experience in Diagnostic Cardiac Cath lab and Interventional Cardiac Cath lab settings.

Scheduling:
- 5x8 Days open to any shift 5x8s 3x12 4x12s 4x10s
- Will work 2-3 weekends per contract.
- Schedule requests to be discussed with the manager.
