We are currently hiring a Staff Nurse RGN/RCN for a leading Hospital in Dublin Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Provides safe and effective nursing care to paediatric and adult patients ensuring assessment planning implementation and evaluation of care.
- Takes charge of the unit at night or when required supervising staff and ensuring smooth running of the ward.
- Conducts comprehensive nursing assessments records observations accurately and maintains confidentiality in all patient documentation.
- Develops implements and reviews individualised care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and patient families.
- Administers medications and treatments safely monitors patient responses and promptly reports any significant changes to senior staff.
- Adheres to infection prevention and control measures aseptic techniques and risk management policies at all times.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives audits and accreditation processes to promote high standards of patient care.
- Maintains professional competence through ongoing education mandatory training and continued professional development.
- Assists in effective use of resources supports complaint resolution and communicates issues to the Nurse Manager as appropriate.
- Acts as a preceptor or mentor to students and new staff promoting learning and professional development within the nursing team.
Requirements
Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) Registered Childrens Nurse licence in good standing.
Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) Registered General Nurse licence in good standing.
Acute hospital experience is essential.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrates motivation initiative and an innovative approach to work
