API INTEGRATION ARCHITECT (HYBRID)

Location:Lisbon Portugal

Working Model:Hybrid 2/3 times per week in Client (Lisboa)

Candidates for the vacancy must already be in Portugal

We are seeking an experienced Integration Architect a strategic thinker capable of translating the needs of our internal clients into well-defined integration specifications.

This is not a development role. The focus will be entirely on integration architecture and specification rather than coding incident resolution or hands-on implementation. As reflected in the requirements no specific integration technology is mandated the role demands a technology-agnostic understanding of integration principles and practices.

Key Deliverables

• Develop and maintain integration governance and platform guidelines.
• Define and present new integration rules and frameworks to stakeholders ensuring alignment across teams.
• Produce and defend detailed specifications for complex application integrations.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Software Engineering Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Strong ability to work in collaborative global environments.
• Proven critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• High commitment to quality deliverables and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of the Energy and Utilities sector and GDPR compliance.
• Experience in strategic large-scale projects.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Deep understanding of integration platforms standards and emerging market trends.
• Proactive independent and results-driven with strong ownership and accountability.
• Innovative mindset able to challenge the status quo and propose better solutions.
• Ability to govern and maintain the clients global integration architecture (APIs Web Services Events ETL Batch Files Data etc.).
• Design technical architectures for integration solutions aligned with business goals.
• Support the definition of integration test plans and scenarios.
• Maintain comprehensive integration documentation and technical specifications.
• Define and promote integration patterns best practices and standards.
• Ensure compliance and consistency through technical reviews and governance processes.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies JIRA and Confluence.
• Proficiency in additional languages: Portuguese and/or Spanish.
