As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Speciality Platforms and Services Team which is aligned to Infrastructure Platforms division you are part of an agile team that works to enhance design and deliver the software components of the firms state-of-the-art technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team you execute software solutions through the design development and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product application or system while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.
Job responsibilities
- Ensure that our applications work as they should and meet customers needs.
- Draw on your testing knowledge and creativity to automate test capabilities and design test and maintenance procedures.
- Tap our existing test frameworks to tackle specific problems.
- Collaborate with experienced developers managers and business partners across the organization.
- Be Open to coaching mentorship and continuous feedback to help you become an even better technologist and professional.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2 years applied experience
- 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance with at least 2 years focused on ServiceNow.
- Proven ability to write automated tests scripts using Automated Test Framework on ServiceNow Platform
- Experience testing custom apps integrations and Platform configurations.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and associated tools such as JiraConfluence.
- Advanced knowledge of software lifecycles including Waterfall and Agile and test automation strategies
- Experience working effectively with developers Business Analysts and stakeholders to develop relationships and achieve common goals
- Proficiency in a business function and some understanding of the broader business context
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Exposure to cloud technologies
