GM Global Communications Team

The Communications team at General Motors focuses on impact and driving transformation through storytelling. It is home to the companys Employee Engagement Vehicle Brand Corporate Tech & Innovation and International Communications teams. The role:

We are searching for an enthusiast internal communications specialist to join our Tech & Innovation communications team. The successful candidate has a learning mindset loves technology and has a knack for storytelling. They have experience in creating content and driving compelling narratives about the business and products they represent. The ability to manage multiple projects at once and work with cross-functional teams is a must.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage the Tech & Innovation internal comms editorial process and calendar

• Craft compelling stories for a technical employee base leveraging a variety of channels and content types

• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and deliver compelling content and executive events

• Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of internal communications leveraging insights to refine strategies

• Support critical internal comms programming and planning efforts

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree

• 3-5 years working in internal communications and/or public relations

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational and operational skills

• Excel at interpersonal communication and collaboration fostering positive relationships with individuals at all levels and from diverse disciplines

• Strong project management skills delivering high-quality results on tight deadlines

• Collaborate effectively with and influence cross-functional partners across the company

• Experience in engagement strategies content creation and new types of content

Location: Hybrid. This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Mountain View CA or Detroit MI Location three times per week at minimum or other frequency dictated by the business

Compensation:

The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws.

The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position as well as geography of the selected candidate.

• The salary range for this role is $68900 - $105700. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

• Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance job level and individual performance.
