About the role
Key details:
- Hours:Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm (8.30am start on Fridays) 37 hours per week Term-time only
- Wage: 7.55 per hour
- Location: Great Ayton Middlesbrough North Yorkshire TS9 6EP
- Apprenticeship Standard: Level 3 Business Administration
- Duration: 16 months
Overview of the role
This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while completing a Level 3 Business Administration qualification. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of the office and develop a wide range of administrative and communication skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Handling enquiries from parents staff and the community via face-to-face interaction phone and email.
- Carrying out general administrative tasks such as photocopying filing and routine correspondence.
- Using a variety of IT systems to complete data entry and other computer-based tasks.
- Assisting with the monitoring maintenance and distribution of stock including ordering supplies when required.
- Supporting general financial administration including raising purchase orders ordering stock and checking deliveries.
- Demonstrating a duty of care and complying with all Health & Safety requirements at all times.

The role may involve working independently or as part of a team and will involve developing implementing maintaining and improving administrative services. Business administrators develop key skills and behaviours to support their own progression towards management responsibilities.
