A Day in the Life of a Reimbursement & Contract Analyst

The Reimbursement & Contract Analyst ensures payer contracts are structured maintained and analyzed to secure accurate reimbursement for healthcare services. The Analyst reviews contract terms identifies payment discrepancies and partners with finance and billing teams to align reimbursement with organizational goals. Daily work involves evaluating trends managing contract databases and creating financial models to guide decision-making. Collaboration spans departmentsfinance legal billing and clinicalto resolve issues and strengthen payer relationships. Success in this role requires balancing financial precision regulatory compliance and proactive problem-solving in a fast-paced revenue cycle environment.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Required

  • Three years of experience in healthcare reimbursement contract management or related fields

Preferred

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration Healthcare Management or a related field
  • Experience in healthcare finance contract management and revenue cycle
  • Experience with managed care contracting and reimbursement methodologies such as DRG APC and fee-for-service

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range listed above is the estimated starting pay range for this role. Actual pay rate offered depends on many factors including each individual employees experience level preferred education/certifications along with market conditions.
