Russell Landscape is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Sales to lead and grow our new business initiatives. This role is exclusively focused on new sales and plays a critical part in executing our growth strategy. The VP of Sales will manage a team of Business Developers (BDs) who report directly to this role with a dotted line to their respective Branch Managers.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on sales leader who can both guide the team and step in to sell when necessary. They will provide strategic direction hold the team accountable to data and KPIs and actively support BDs in closing deals or navigating challenges. This position reports directly to the President and requires translating executive vision into actionable sales strategies across all markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development Management
- Standardize and streamline sales processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement best practices for pipeline management opportunity tracking and forecasting.
- Provide guidance and hands-on support to the sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
Market Characterization
- Conduct comprehensive market industry and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Use data and analytics to inform strategic decisions and prioritize initiatives.
Growth Strategy Execution
- Develop and execute initiatives to drive sales growth and market expansion.
- Collaborate with leadership to establish sales targets quotas and performance metrics.
- Monitor progress toward goals and adjust strategies as needed.
Sales Budgeting
- Partner with finance and leadership on annual sales budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor sales expenses and resource allocation recommending adjustments to optimize ROI.
KPI Reporting and Analytics
- Define KPIs and implement reporting mechanisms to track team performance.
- Provide dashboards and deep-dive analysis to guide decision-making and corrective action.
Training and Implementation
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance sales team skills.
