The Role

Plans develops and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers. Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date. Facilitation and instructional design experience within the NNPP and Reactor Servicing experince. This position is part of the Newport News Shipbuilding Reactor Servicing Engineering group responsible for providing design and engineering support to service Navy nuclear reactors. Reactor Servicing Engineering offers a challenging high paced team environment with opportunity to excel and endless possibilities for professional growth. This particular position is with our Nuclear Training group. Reactor Servicing Excellence at the Core. Facilitation and instructional design experience within the NNPP and Reactor Servicing experince.

Must Have

Bachelors degree and 6 years of exempt experience; Masters degree and 4 year of exempt experience

One of the following may be used as equivalent to a bachelors degree to meet minimum qualifications:
NNS Apprentice School graduate
High school and 5 years combined manufacturing shipbuilding trades military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
Graduation from Navy Nuclear Power School

The following may be used as equivalent to the number of exempt years of experience required in addition to the education requirement above: 6 years of relevant manufacturing shipbuilding trade and/or military experience
