As the Director Provincial Programs within the Clinical Care and Delivery team at the Department of Health and Wellness you will have the opportunity to work with diverse stakeholders and system partners leading the formulation development monitoring and evaluation of policies and programs that fall under the Provincial Program accountability. These programs include but are not limited to; cancer care; diagnostic imaging/pathology; lab medicine; medical genetics; pharmacy; multi organ transplant program; rehabilitation services; perioperative and renal programs.
This position will work closely with our partners at Nova Scotia Health Authority and IWK Health Authority to ensure all aspects of provincial programs in Nova Scotia are operating in a sustainable and effective manner that is meeting both the needs of Nova Scotians and the objectives of the government. This position will advance recommendations of government to improve advance and provide sustainable system integration as it relates to provincial programs. The position will also work in partnership with Tajikeimik on their journey of health transformation and will partner on the growth and evolution of the health and wellness services and programs used by Mikmaw people in Nova Scotia.
To be successful within this role you will hold a bachelors degree and demonstrate professional experience in health system integration provincial program operations policy development and implementation within provincial mandates participative decision making and transformational change through system thinking and shared governance. A solid understanding of legislative processes regulatory processes and intragovernmental and intergovernmental affairs as they relate to provincial programs is required for this position.
Demonstrated success in project management and leading teams within a complex system is required. Expertise in developing and maintaining strategic partnerships is required. Experience in intergovernmental boards committees and/or agencies is required.
Degrees specifically in a health-related fields health promotion business administration public administration or health administration will be considered assets. Prior experience directly related to governance and operations within the health sector will also be considered an asset.

Salary Range: $4136.98- $5171.21Bi-Weekly
