About the role
Perform venepuncture and specimen preparation for storage and transportation ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Assist with specialized procedures including Venesection and Synacthen testing.
Conduct non-blood collection procedures with professionalism and care.
Collaborate effectively as part of a team providing excellent customer service and maintaining strong patient relationships.
Maintain high standards of accuracy adhering to WH&S principles and following established policies and procedures.
Roster / Hours of Work
Monday & Tuesday: 8:00am - 4:00pm
Friday: 4-hour shift (time to be confirmed)
Saturday & Sunday: 1:00pm - 8:30pm
About you
Minimum of 12 months experience in the vacutainer method of collection and extensive knowledge of venepuncture along with appropriate qualifications or experience in pathology.
A proven track record of delivering high-quality customer service with a professional appearance and demeanor.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team managing tasks with minimal supervision.
Willingness to work flexible hours and cover a rotating 7-day roster to support the units needs.
Strong understanding of workplace health and safety principles coupled with effective communication and interpersonal skills in a professional setting.
