We are seeking an experienced Front Office Manager to join our leadership team at Shangri-La Colombo. This role is pivotal in overseeing the daily operations of the Front Office ensuring that every guest receives a seamless personalized and memorable experience.
As the Front Office Manager we rely on you to:
- Provide strategic leadership and daily management of the Front Office including Front Desk Guest Relations Concierge Service Centre and associated operations.
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining service standards in accordance with Shangri-La Hotels quality benchmarks.
- Oversee recruitment training career development and performance appraisal processes within the department.
- Review and optimize departmental processes ensuring compliance with internal financial and operational controls company policies and safety standards.
- Drive revenue generation through effective room inventory management upselling initiatives and close collaboration with the Sales Reservations and Revenue Management teams.
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets forecasts and capital expenditure requirements.
- Supervise coach and develop a team of associates leaders and managers fostering a culture of professionalism teamwork and continuous improvement.
We Are Looking for Someone Who Has:
- Demonstrated expertise in front office operations within a 5-star luxury hotel showcasing a commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-centric approach.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail with the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
- Exemplary command of the English language is essential with proficiency in additional languages considered a valuable asset.
- Demonstrated flexibility to accommodate a dynamic schedule including availability for night shifts weekends and holiday hours.
- Sound knowledge of Opera PMS is essential.
