About the role
Working with our Property Project (Energy Infrastructure) Team the key responsibilities of this role include:
will work in the Property Team that currently has a focus on retail leasing matters a blend of other documents that record interests in land and provide general property consultancy advice (no residential conveyancing).
will be working on your own matters autonomously but will have the support and guidance from an Accredited Specialist and other Senior Lawyers when needed.
team members work helping team members develop skills and confidence in their work
business development and nurturing our current and new clients. This is a people first role and you will be asked to support the Head of the practice group at Law Squared and work with our Brand Engagement Team with events campaigns and executing new ideas to reach new clients in the retail and property space.
About you
The ideal candidate
We are looking for a lawyer ready to join an innovative and compelling alternative to the traditional firm. The ideal candidate will:
have 8 PQE experience working in a general property and commercial and retail leasing.
enjoy both being on the tools doing the legal work and driving business development and nurturing important client relationships. Australian wide retail leasing experience (highly regarded) or is willing to put in the work to learn the nuances of different jurisdictions.
have great soft skills we negotiate commercial and legal terms often in the team and need someone confident to pick up the phone and speak to our clients position.
Can run own matters and is confident and capable of supervising junior team members work.
be personable and ready willing and able to work in a collaborative environment;
be proficient or excited and willing to learn different technology tools we are a paperless and tech-enabled law firm; and
be driven and passionate about the future of the legal profession and desire to do things differently.
