PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
We are seeking a Senior Scheduling Co-ordinator to support the effective and timely scheduling of BBC NI TV iPlayer Radio Ulster Radio Foyle and Sounds content. This part-time role is ideal for someone with programme scheduling experience who thrives in a collaborative detailed and busy environment. Youll be responsible for data integrity in WhatsOn Business & Scheduling meeting all press deadlines. Youll work closely with Commissioning Content Production and News & Current Affairs colleagues and Independent Production Companies.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
- Create and maintain all titles in the system and ensure that all details are correct and current (e.g. delivery budget supplier quota management funding hours funding type airing order titles).
- Work in partnership across outputs online and genre teams to ensure consistency in processes reporting and systems.
- To be the authority regarding certain detailed scheduling attributes (unique identifiers standby programmes and transmission titles) in the context of the schedule handover and post-handover processes.
- Make recommendations to scheduling content in teamwork with Schedule Managers and/or Coordinators (or equivalent) taking into account compliance and suitability for our audience.
- Act as key liaison with internal stakeholders including commissioning production playout and delivery team including adjusting or prompting the adjustment of delivery dates as appropriate. Maintain accurate cost and rights data. Provide assistance with the selection of appropriate repeats and reversions.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Passion for the departments programming and content commissioning.
- Has or obtain a good understanding of the role of the department its objectives and relationships with other divisions and with key external stakeholders in the independent sector.
- Good IT Skills capable of working with spreadsheets and databases.
- Highly organised approach to own workload. Maintains awareness of key dates/deadlines such as programme delivery and alerts others to key issues on own initiative.
- An eye for detail with good written communication skills able to manage large volumes of information and data demonstrating an understanding of the importance of data quality and accuracy.
- A flexible and collaborative manner with a proactive approach to problem solving to improve processes and to achieve best practice.
