2nd / 3rd Shift Position

Essential Job Functions:

Recordkeeping excellent communication skills and ability to analyze problems simply.
Must be able to operate power tools.
Must be able to assist other trades as needed and provide support in the general maintenance of the facility.
Must have the ability to work to a height of 40 feet above ground on occasion.
Must be able to operate forklifts man lifts cherry pickers and other industrial vehicles.
Must have the ability to understand and install security and fire safety systems.
Must have the ability to understand and install electrical power systems and control wiring (pipe and wire)
Ability to assemble and wire new control panels per N.E.C. and engineers instructions.
Must have the ability to understand and install.
Ethernet communications

Other Functions:

Performs similar or related work as required directed or as situation dictates.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Education Training and Experience:

Electrical Technical School Graduate or Trade/Military equivalent
Possess five (5) year minimum trade experience.
Possess current State of Connecticut E2 License or above.

Special Requirements:

Must have knowledge of Electrical Power Distribution and Lighting Circuits with volage rating of DC to 500 Volts and AC to 13800 volts.
Possess thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (N.E.C.) Example: wire sizing fusing practices safeties Lock-Out/Tag Out Emergency Stop circuits grounding and use of handbook
Possess knowledge of relay control circuits includingAC DC (Servo preferred not required)drives.
Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
Communicate effectively with other departments organizations and leadership teams.
Overtime and weekend work are required.
Ability to be on-call for emergencies.
