In this leadership role youll guide and mentor maintenance staff manage preventative and emergency repairs and ensure our homes and grounds remain in excellent condition. Youll collaborate closely with property management to balance operational needs with financial goals while always prioritizing resident satisfaction and safety. Every day your work will contribute directly to Avestas mission of improving lives by creating and maintaining quality affordable homes for people in need.

What Were Looking For

The person who is ready for this opportunity will have the following:

Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent. A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in facilities maintenance with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Valid drivers license and auto insurance. Maintain reliable vehicle with required insurance that can transport tools and supplies.
  • Possess basic carpentry electrical plumbing painting and general repair skills.
  • Possess a basic tool kit.
  • Comfort with technology in general in order to work with Agency tools and systems as well as building-specific controls and systems.
  • Available for questions and to support technicians handling emergencies after hours and on weekends/holidays as needed; availability towork on-call schedule if necessary.

This is a full-time (40 hours/week) non-exempt position. Pay range is$31.50 - $36.50 hourly.



Work Location

This is an on-site position which requires regular travel between properties throughout the Southern region including those south of Saco ME and into New Hampshire.
