Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associates Degree Nursing Diploma Bachelors in Nursing or Masters in Nursing
Valid RN License
Minimum of 1 year Registered Nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a cardiac outpatient clinic or public health screening setting.

Responsibilities:
Perform direct one-on-one screenings with clients which may include:
Taking medical histories related to cardiac risk factors.
Measuring and recording vital signs such as blood pressure and heart rate.
Collecting blood samples for lab work such as cholesterol and glucose testing.
Performing electrocardiograms (EKGs).
Performing urine dipstick tests.
Provide health education based on screening results to help clients understand their current health status and risks for heart disease.
Educate clients on preventative care lifestyle modifications and how to improve their heart health.
Refer and coordinate follow-up with a provider such as a cardiologist or primary care physician when screening results indicate a need for further evaluation.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records documenting all screening results and educational interventions.
Ensure a smooth patient flow during screening events by efficiently managing appointments.
Adhere to all health protocols and safety procedures including maintaining a sterile environment.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care and a positive client experience.
