Youll design and build the data pipelines and services that power decision-making across the organisation creating scalable solutions that handle massive volumes of real-time restaurant data. This is a full-time hybrid role with a flexible work schedule offering 3 days in our Amersfoort Netherlands office and 2 days from the comfort of your home.

What you will do:

Data Pipeline Development: Designing building and maintaining scalable data pipelines using tools like Airflow and dbt
API Development: Building and maintaining RESTful APIs that expose data to internal teams and integrate with third-party services
Data Architecture: Collaborating on data modelling storage solutions and integration patterns that support analytics and business needs
Data Quality & Monitoring: Implementing validation monitoring and alerting systems to ensure data reliability
Performance Optimisation: Continuously improving pipeline efficiency query performance and cost optimisation Cross-functional Partnership:
Working closely with Analytics Engineers Data Scientists and stakeholders to enable data-driven decision-making

What you will bring:

3 years of experience in data engineering or related field
Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services
Hands-on experience with data pipeline orchestration (Airflow Luigi or similar)
Experience with modern data stack tools (dbt BigQuery Snowflake or similar)
Understanding of data modelling principles
Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices (version control testing CI/CD)
Proven ability to work with large-scale datasets
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Nice-to-Have
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery Cloud Composer Dataflow Pub/Sub)
Knowledge of streaming data technologies (Kafka Spark Streaming Flink)
Experience with API frameworks (FastAPI Flask Django)
Familiarity with ML frameworks and building data pipelines for ML use cases
Background in event-driven architectures and real-time data processing
Experience in the Food Tech restaurant or SaaS industry
Experience with containerisation (Docker)
